Latest Geology Map of Princesa

The Princesa zinc-lead-silver project was staked by Solex in March, 2005, following extensive exploration activities in the region near Pilunani. The project includes five known silver veins which were mined intermittently in the early 1960s.

Size/Location: The Princesa property consists of five claims covering 2,500 hectares and is located 18 kilometers southeast of the Crucero district in Peru. The property is accessible via paved road from the city of Juliaca (1 ½ hour flight from Lima), located approximately 110 km south (3.5 hours drive) to the town of Azangaro, then along gravel roads.

History: Previous exploration reports from 1974 show mined average grades of 4.7 oz silver, 5.2% lead and 2.88% zinc for the Princesa vein, over an average width of 8 meters, which was mined over a strike length of 200 meters from 3 levels. The size of the mine dumps and workings at the site indicate moderate historical production.

Geology/Mineralization: The silver-lead-zinc mineralization at Princesa occurs in sub-horizontal, cross-bedded sandstones and conglomerates. The area has undergone some structural deformation producing several fault systems. Exposed veins are breccia textured. Evidence of previous mining activity is visible covering a considerable area, with numerous open stopes and adits. The deposits are interpreted as high-temperature (> ca. 250º C) vein/stockwork/replacement systems directly associated with large-scale diatreme emplacement.

Exploration: A NI 43-101 technical report was completed on the Princesa property in May 2008.

The report identified an Inferred Mineral Resource of 4.6 million tonnes grading 90.88 g/t silver, 1.66% lead and 1.69% zinc. The report also concludes that the project has significant potential to increase these resources as the main vein is open both on strike and at depth, and no provision has been allowed for the potential discovery of other mineralized structures on the property. The report recommends Solex complete additional drilling on the Princesa Vein to test its lateral and depth extension below 150 meters in order to bring the Inferred Mineral Resource to an Indicated-Measured Resource category, to complete complementary drilling on the V2 and V1b veins and a systematic geochemical (rocks, soil and talus) sampling program, mapping, trenching and exploratory drilling both on the NW extension of the Princesa Vein. The cost of such program has been estimated at US$ 1.1 M.
