Introduction
The Picotani uranium property is an early stage exploration play located in southeastern Peru, near the Bolivian border.

Size/Location: The Picotani property consists of eight mining concessions covering 6,606 hectares and lies in the Province of Putina, Department of Puno.

History: Solex staked the Picotani property in 2006 as a result of a recommendation by Dr. Alan Clark. Minimal exploration work took place on the property and there is no evidence of any significant historical exploration. Reconnaissance work concluded that portions of the project bear some geological similarities with the Macusani region where more than 50 uranium showings have been discovered on Solex's ground.

Geology/Mineralization: The regional geology varies across the whole and several types of mineralization such as disseminated gold and base metals veins and carbonate replacement have been discovered. In addition to uranium, several base and precious metals targets have been outlined on the property.

Exploration: Solex has completed regional reconnaissance exploration on Picotani including geological mapping, sampling and target definition. Solex has identified a number of target areas including Escalera, Surini, Pucara, Cruz Cunca and Angostura. At Escalera, Solex's work led to the discovery of several uranium anomalies with values ranging from 40-200 ppm with rhyolitic ignimbrites of the Picotani Formation. Uranium mineralization occurs as autonite emplaced in randomly oriented 10-20 centimeter wide sub-vertical fractures with dissemination up to 20 centimetres away from the main fracture.

An access agreement with the local community has been completed, which allows Solex to complete more detailed and systematic exploration activities, including drilling. The timing and extent of exploration at Picotani has yet to be determined, but is expected to proceed in 2009/2010, with the priority being Macusani.
