Robert Boaz
Independent Chairman & Director


Robert Boaz has 18 years in the investment business after a distinguished career in the power and natural gas industry working in management positions for Ontario Hydro, Saskatchewan Power and Consumers Gas. He has held senior management positions in a number of firms in the investment industry, including Dundee Securities, HSBC Canada Inc., BZW Canada Inc. and Midland Doherty Inc., with direct responsibilities related to research, portfolio management, institutional sales and investment banking. More recently, Mr. Boaz was Managing Director of Investment Banking with Raymond James Ltd. in Toronto. In this capacity, he was primarily responsible for the financing of (and mergers and acquisitions for) mining, real estate, and special situations companies.

 
Jonathan Challis
Director


Jonathan Challis is a seasoned mining engineer with over 32 years experience in the operation, management, financing, and analysis of mining projects around the world. Mr. Challis started his professional life in London as a Mining Engineer with Gold Fields of South Africa Limited and later became a mining analyst for James Capel & Co., Barclays Bank Ltd. and MecLeod Young Weir. In 1994, he joined CM Oliver in Toronto as a Director and Senior Mining Analyst prior to moving back to London where he was instrumental in establishing a European presence for that company. In 1997, he joined Ivanhoe Capital Corporation and was involved in numerous early stage exploration ventures in diverse locations. In 1999, he became President and a Director of Shore Gold where he oversaw the planning, engineering and initial extraction of nearly 23,000 tonnes of kimberlite from Shore's Star kimberlite in Saskatchewan via vertical shaft. He has an Honours degree in Mineral Exploitation from University College, Cardiff, and an MBA degree from Cranfield University. He has obtained the South African Metalliferous Mine Captain's and Mine Manager's Certificates of Competency. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Materials, Minerals and Mining and a Chartered Engineer.

 
John Cook, Director

Mr. Cook has been the President of Tormin Resources Limited, a private mining company since May 1995. A graduate of Sheffield University in Mining Engineering in 1962, Mr. Cook has more than 45 years of experience in the mining industry. Laurence Curtis, Director

Dr. Curtis has 40 years international experience in exploration and has been a director of public companies involved in exploration, development and mining for over 20 years. He previously served as President and CEO as well as Founder of Intrepid Mines Limited and was a past director of Wheaten Minerals Limited and High River Gold Mines Ltd. He is currently a director of Intrepid Mines Limited, Homeland Uranium Inc., and Homeland Energy Group Ltd. Dr. Curtis is a Professional Geoscientist registered with the APGO and holds a BSc (Hons) from the Australian National University (1969) and a PhD from the University of Toronto (1975).

 
James Garcelon, Director

Mr. Garcelon has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career at RBC Dominion Securities where he acted in a number of capacities and areas including investment banking, derivatives and quantitative research. In 1997, he joined Pacific Century Group a Hong Kong based private equity fund. Pacific Century was then a strategic investor in Gordon Capital Corporation, which was acquired by HSBC Securities in late 1998. Mr. Garcelon played an instrumental role in the restructuring and merging of the two organizations. He was appointed Managing Director, Institutional Research at HSBC Securities in 2000. In 2003, Mr. Garcelon joined National Bank Financial and was promoted to Managing Director, Head of Institutional Sales in 2005. Currently Mr. Garcelon is a Principal with, and cofounder of, Grove Capital Group a merchant banking group. He recently acted as an advisor to Homeland Energy Group on business development and acquisition opportunities. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Masters of Science in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics in addition to a HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

 
Nick Tintor, President & Chief Executive Officer, Director

From May 2010 to present, Mr. Tintor is President & CEO of Southern Andes Energy Inc. and rom January 2007 to present Mr. Tintor is President and CEO of Homeland Uranium Inc. From 2002 to January 2008 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Anaconda Gold Corp. A graduate of the University of Toronto (B.Sc., Geology), he has more than 25 years of experience in the mining industry and has been involved with all aspects of junior mining company management, finance and project acquisition. Mr. Tintor is also a Director Homeland Uranium Inc. and of TSX-listed San Anton Resource Corporation and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

 
Hatem Kawar, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kawar is an engineer with 25 years of experience in both the technical and management aspects of development of industrial mineral projects in the middle-east. Originally from the Hashemite Kingdome of Jordan, Mr. Kawar completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool in the UK and then obtained MBA degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Mr. Kawar spent 10 years with Odyssey Resources in a key management role. In 2006 he joined Homeland Uranium Inc. in the capacity of CFO.

 
Arnaldo T. Leon
Country Manager in Peru


Arnaldo Leon has over 32 years of experience as a mining specialist in Peru and is responsible for managing Solex's existing property portfolio. Mr. Leon is a mining engineer from the National University of Engineering in Lima, Peru, and obtained his Master's of Science degree in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines and a Diploma in Corporate Management from the AOTS Institute in Tokyo, Japan. Having worked as the Head of the Mining Division at the investment bank Flemings (now JP Morgan Chase) in Peru and as a Mining Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank and at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., Mr. Leon has established an impressive range of contacts at both the commercial and institutional levels.
