Introduction:
In December 2006, an extensive 20,000-metre shallow diamond drill program commenced on the Macusani East uranium project on an initial seven drill targets where previous prospecting indicated significant anomalies of uranium mineralization on surface. So far, drilling has been completed on five targets.
See below for the progress made to date:
(1) Calvario III Target:
A total of 61 holes were completed over 3,607 metres covering 350-metre-by-450-metre area.
Results confirmed the presence of a continuous, flat-lying ignimbrite volcanic flow containing a weighted average grade of 0.016% U3O8 (0.32 lb per short ton uranium) over a stratigraphic thickness of 10 metres.
Uranium encountered from zero to 40 metres depth.
Only small fraction of anomaly tested (10%) and follow-up drilling is planned.

(2) Calvario I Target:
A total of 52 holes were completed over 2,000 metres covering 350-metre-by-325-metre area (50% of target area).
Results have confirmed the presence of a flat-lying, near-surface ignimbrite volcanic flow containing significant intersections of uranium at a weighted average grade of 0.041% U3O8 (0.82 lb per short ton) over a stratigraphic thickness of 7 metres.
Uranium encountered from zero to 30 metres depth.

(3) Agaton Target:
A total of 40 holes were completed over 1,903 metres covering 800-metre-by-200-metre area.
Results have confirmed the presence of a thin, weakly mineralized ignimbrite volcanic flow with a weighted average grade of 0.009% U3O8 (0.19 lb per short ton) over a stratigraphic thickness of 3 metres.
Drilling covered 10% of target area; no further work is planned at the current time.
(4) Sayana West Target:
A total of 28 holes were completed over 1,645 metres covering 500-metre-by-200-metre area.
Results have established the presence of a weakly mineralized ignimbrite volcanic flow with a weighted average grade of 0.011% U3O8 (0.22 lb per short ton) over a stratigraphic thickness of 2 metres.
Drilling covered 10% of target area; no further work is planned at the current time.
(5) Sayana Central Target:
A total of 73 holes were completed totalling 6,961 metres.
Initial results from 24 holes have confirmed presence of a near-surface ignimbrite volcanic flow with an average grade of 0.053% U3O8 (1.06 lb per short ton) over a stratigraphic thickness of 3.5 metres over a 800-metre-by-150-metre area.
Remaining results are expected shortly.

(6) Puncopata Target:
A total of 12 holes were drilled over 1,076 metres.
Results establish presence of a near-surface ignimbrite volcanic flow with an average grade of 0.055% U3O8 (1.1 lb per short ton) over a stratigraphic thickness of 4.0 metres over a 800-metre-by-150-metre area.
Uranium encountered from 15 metres to 78 metres depth.

(7) Calvario II Target:
A total of 32 holes were drilled totalling 2,434 metres.
Results confirm presence of a near-surface ignimbrite volcanic flow with an average grade of 0.01% U3O8 (0.21 lb per short ton) over a stratigraphic thickness of 3.0 metres over a 200-metre-by-150-metre area.
Drilling covered 12% of the total size of the radiometric anomaly, which measures 700 m x 350 m.
